Covid-19: Here's Brand-New Breakdown Of Westchester Cases By Municipality

New York State has seen a COVID-19 infection rate under 1.0 percent for five straight days as cases in Westchester continue to decline.

According to the Westchester County Department of Health, there were two dozen new COVID-19 cases reported, bringing the total number of positive cases to 36,357 since the pandemic began five months ago.

There have been 443,416 Westchester residents tested, according to the state Department of Health, with 8.2 percent testing positive. There have been 1,447 confirmed COVID-19 deaths in Westchester since mid-March, and none reported in the past 24 hours.

A breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Westchester as of Thursday, Aug. 13, according to the county Department of Health:

  • Yonkers: 7,475 (104 active);
  • New Rochelle: 3,166 (20);
  • Mount Vernon: 2,805 (18);
  • White Plains: 1,900 (19);
  • Port Chester: 1,307 (16);
  • Ossining Village: 1,096 (7);
  • Peekskill: 1,033 (11);
  • Greenburgh: 1,232 (32);
  • Cortlandt: 924 (13);
  • Yorktown: 744 (6);
  • Mount Pleasant: 594 (5);
  • Mamaroneck Village: 481 (16);

Statewide, 6,728,482 New Yorkers have been tested for COVID-19, with 422,703 tests returning positive. There have been 25,228 virus-related deaths reported in New York.
